Public Interest Scholarship Fund
Since 1992, the Foundation has supported nearly 500 outstanding law students headed for public interest law careers with more than $2 million in scholarship funds. With the cost of a legal education spiraling upward and many law school graduates facing more than $80,000 in debt, the Public Interest Scholarship Program provides crucial financial assistance to students with a demonstrated commitment to public service, academic excellence, financial need, and plans to pursue public interest law positions. Donors to the Public Interest Scholarship Fund make three-year, $10,000 per year commitments. In recognition of its gift, each donor is able to "name" one of the Public Interest Scholarships each year for the duration of the pledge commitment and present the awards at the Foundation's annual Scholarship Reception, held each fall in conjunction with the State Bar Annual Meeting. Donors also receive enhanced recognition as a member of the Foundation's Leadership Circle. We deeply thank the following donors who have made commitments to the Public Interest Scholarship Fund:
