Rosenthal Bar Exam Scholarship Fund
Since 1997, the Foundation has offered one of the few scholarship programs in the country specifically aimed at providing Bar exam-related support for law school graduates pursuing public interest careers. Without the support of a private law firm employer, the exam fee, the cost of a Bar review course, and living expenses while studying for the exam can add thousands of dollars to a recent law school graduate's debt burden. Through the Rosenthal Bar Exam Scholarship Program, each spring the Foundation awards free California BAR/BRI Bar exam review courses (valued at more than $3,000) and/or cash awards of up to $1,000 recent or soon-to-be graduates of California law schools. Donors to the Rosenthal Bar Exam Scholarship Fund make three-year, $5,000 per year commitments. In recognition of its gift, each donor is able to "name" one of the Rosenthal Bar Exam Scholarships each year for the duration of the pledge commitment. Donors also receive enhanced recognition as a member of the Foundation's Leadership Circle. We deeply thank the following donors who have made commitments to the Rosenthal Bar Exam Scholarship Fund:
Reed Smith LLP (2008-2010) We also thank the Rosenthal Family for its long-standing support of the Rosenthal Bar Exam Scholarship Program and BAR/BRI of California for providing discounts on the bar review courses awarded to the top winners.
