An attorney since 1997, Joilene Wood Grove is the Foundation's Program Director, responsible for the management and implementation of the Foundation's grants, scholarships, education, and outreach programs. 

Grove graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994 with a degree in English Honors. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was a Normandy Scholar. She obtained her J.D. in 1997 from New York University School of Law. 

After practicing finance law in Houston for three years, Grove moved to San Francisco and practiced corporate and securities law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto. While in private practice, Grove provided pro bono legal services to a number of education and youth-mentoring organizations. She is an active member and President of the Board of Directors of Each One Reach One, a Bay Area nonprofit that conducts playwriting workshops and performances and mentoring at juvenile halls. Grove is a member of the State Bars of California and Texas.
