Scott Wylie, President

Scott Wylie serves as the ninth President of the Foundation, after completing six years as an active member of its Board of Directors. He previously served as a Vice President and Chairperson of the Grants and Audit Committees. Wylie presently splits his time between Southern California and Evansville, Indiana, where he bases his consulting business and owns a restaurant.

From 1999 until 2002, Wylie served as a member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of California, serving as a Vice President during his last year on the Board. He has served on committees and commissions of the State Bar since 1989, including a multi-year stint as chairperson of the Legal Services Section (now Standing Committee on Legal Services). He is a former officer of the Orange County Bar Association and is a peer consultant and instructor for the ABA Center for Pro Bono.

Wylie is the former Associate Dean of Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, where he also served as the John FitzRandolph Director of Clinics. He has also served as an adjunct professor at California State University at Fullerton, Western State University College of Law, and Chapman University Law School, and as an administrator with the University of Southern Indiana.

From 1993 until 2000, Wylie was the Executive Director and General Counsel of the Public Law Center, the pro bono program of the Orange County Bar Association.

Wylie received his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign in 1989 and his bachelors degree in economics in 1986, also from Illinois. He is admitted to the State Bars of California, Illinois, Indiana, and the federal courts.
